Why We Prefer Zones Over Single Pixel Lines
A single line looks precise and feels professional. Markets are messier. Liquidity rests in bands, and wicks often pierce the neatest line you can draw. In Foundation Levels Studio we start students on zones: a high and low of the area that previously attracted activity, shaded lightly so the eye still sees structure.
Zones also make invalidation clearer. If price closes through the entire band on meaningful volume, the map updates. If it only spikes through and returns, the zone may still be active. That distinction is harder to teach when every student protects a one-pixel line they drew with pride. Practice on printed charts first—hand shading forces you to decide where the band actually lives.
