Reading First-Touch Reactions Without Forcing a Trade
Many traders treat the first return to a support or resistance zone as a signal to act. In our Shirokanedai studio we slow that impulse. Students mark the level, then write what would count as a respectful reaction: a pause, a rejection wick, or a quiet acceptance that suggests the zone is already spent. Only after naming the criteria do they decide whether a trade belongs on the page.
We also separate timeframe roles. A daily level may define the map; a fifteen-minute reaction may only refine timing. Mixing those jobs is how first touches become forced entries. Bring one instrument you know well, mark three first touches from the past month, and grade them with the same language you would use live. Patterns in your own notes teach faster than generic chart screenshots.
